"DA! You're HOME!" Cried the ecstatic boy, who nearly tripped over the clutter in his path as he ran towards Lucien. Thankful to be home and alive after fulfilling a very dangerous and long contract, the assassin eagerly opened his arms wide for his son to leap into and hugged him gently.
"Where've you been??" Ethaniel bellowed. "You were gone f'rever!"
"I know kiddo... I know. I'll make it up to you. I promise."

A few different references were used; looking at my own gloved hand and a family photo just to get a good idea of how to draw a male child's body. I suck at drawing children

Also I've been watching a lot of anime to learn how to get the simplistic shading done right.
